Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
The Short Version
We collect the minimum data needed to run Humandos. We don’t sell your data. We don’t track you across the internet. We use LinkedIn for sign-in and Stripe for payments – both handle their own data under their own policies.
1. What We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with LinkedIn, we receive and store your name, email address, and profile photo. This is provided by LinkedIn via their OAuth2 authentication flow. We do not receive or store your LinkedIn password.
Profile Information
If you become a Provider, you may add a display name, bio, LinkedIn profile URL, timezone, and pricing information. This information is displayed publicly on your provider profile.
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive financial information on our servers. We store only Stripe account identifiers and payment reference IDs needed to track booking and authorisation status. Humandos does not hold, escrow, or custody any funds at any stage of the payment process.
Usage Data
We collect basic usage data such as pages visited, bookings created, and actions taken on the platform. This is used solely to operate and improve Humandos. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To create and maintain your account
- To display provider profiles to potential requesters
- To process bookings and payments
- To send transactional notifications (booking confirmations, etc.)
- To prevent fraud and abuse
- To improve the platform
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
Humandos relies on the following external services:
- LinkedIn – for authentication (sign-in). LinkedIn’s use of your data is governed by the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
- Stripe – for payment processing and card authorisation. Stripe’s use of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Resend – for delivering transactional email notifications (booking confirmations, approvals, cancellations). We share your email address and name with Resend solely for the purpose of delivering these notifications. Resend’s use of your data is governed by the Resend Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare – for DNS, content delivery, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may process your IP address and request metadata as part of routing traffic to our servers. Cloudflare’s use of your data is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties except where required by law.
4. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (such as payment transaction records for tax/audit purposes).
6. Your Rights
In accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information
- Delete your account and associated personal data
- Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached

7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication tokens, and limiting access to personal data to essential platform operations. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the platform or email. Continued use of Humandos after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
