Terms & Conditions

1. What Humandos Is

Humandos is a technology platform that facilitates scheduling and payment processing for direct person-to-person time access. We provide the tools that let one person (“Provider”) make their time available and another person (“Requester”) book and pay for that time.

Humandos is not a marketplace, agency, broker, or employment service. We do not match people with jobs, mediate work output, or take a commission on deliverables. There are no deliverables. This is access to time – nothing more, nothing less.

2. User Roles

Providers are individuals who choose to make blocks of their time available through the platform. Providers set their own prices, availability, and approval criteria. Humandos does not influence, direct, or control how providers spend their time during a session.

Requesters are individuals who explore available providers and book time. Requesters understand that booking time does not guarantee any particular outcome, deliverable, or result.

Both Providers and Requesters are independent individuals. Neither party is an employee, contractor, or agent of Humandos or of each other by virtue of using this platform.

3. No Employment or Contractor Relationship

Using Humandos does not create an employment, contractor, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship – between you and Humandos, or between Providers and Requesters. Providers are not “hired by” Requesters through this platform. Requesters are not “clients” in a professional services sense.

Sessions facilitated through Humandos are direct, person-to-person interactions. The content, format, and nature of those interactions are entirely between the participants.

4. Payments

All payments are processed in the Provider’s chosen currency (e.g. AUD, USD, EUR, GBP) via Stripe. When you book a session, a hold (authorisation) is placed on your card for the booking amount. No money is charged or moved at this point – your bank reserves the funds on your card.

Humandos does not hold, escrow, or custody any funds at any stage. The authorisation hold is maintained by your card issuer, not by Humandos.

After the session is completed, the hold is captured and the funds are transferred directly to the Provider’s connected Stripe account. Humandos facilitates this transfer as a technology convenience – we are not a party to the financial transaction between Provider and Requester.

Booking Window

Due to the nature of card authorisation holds, bookings can only be made up to 7 days in advance. If a booking is not confirmed and completed within this window, the authorisation hold expires and is automatically released by your bank.

Cancellations

  • Before provider approval: Either party can cancel. The hold on your card is released immediately – you are never charged.
  • After approval, before session: Either party can cancel. The hold is released – you are never charged.
  • After payment is captured: No automatic reversal. Disputes are between the Provider and Requester directly.

5. Impact Allocation

Providers may select a cause and a percentage. For each completed session, Humandos donates that portion of the session fee to the selected nonprofit via Pledge.to. The provider’s payout is reduced accordingly.

The actual amount received by the nonprofit may be less than the allocated amount due to currency conversion, payment processing fees, and third-party service charges incurred by Humandos in facilitating the donation.

All donations are made by Humandos as a corporate decision after payment settlement. Humandos does not issue tax receipts to users in relation to impact allocations.

6. Tax and Invoicing

Each user is solely responsible for their own tax obligations arising from their use of Humandos. Providers who earn income through the platform are responsible for reporting that income and issuing invoices to Requesters if required by applicable tax law.

Humandos does not act as a tax agent, withhold taxes, or issue invoices on behalf of any user. Stripe may provide payment receipts, but these are not tax invoices.

7. Intellectual Property

The content of sessions – conversations, advice, ideas, or anything shared during booked time – remains between the participants. Humandos claims no ownership or rights over session content.

The Humandos platform, brand, design, and underlying technology are owned by Humandos. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Humandos provides the platform “as is” and “as available.” We make no guarantees about:

  • The quality, expertise, or suitability of any Provider
  • The accuracy of any information provided by users on the platform
  • The outcome of any session or interaction facilitated through Humandos
  • Uninterrupted or error-free platform availability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Humandos shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid through the platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
  • Misrepresent your identity or qualifications
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Circumvent the platform’s payment system to avoid fees
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the platform’s operation

10. Identity Verification

Providers are required to submit a LinkedIn profile URL as part of their onboarding. This URL is manually reviewed by Humandos before the Provider’s profile becomes publicly visible on the platform.

Once a LinkedIn URL is approved, it is locked. If you wish to change your verified LinkedIn URL, the new URL must go through the same review process, during which your profile may not be publicly visible.

Both Stripe onboarding and LinkedIn verification must be completed before a Provider’s profile is visible to other users.

Humandos does not verify qualifications, endorsements, or the accuracy of any claims made on a user’s LinkedIn profile. The verification process confirms only that a real LinkedIn profile has been associated with the account.

11. Subscription and Fees

Providers pay a subscription fee of $10 AUD per month to list their profile on Humandos and receive bookings.

When a Provider first makes themselves publicly available, they receive a 30-day free trial. The trial begins at the moment they go live – not when they sign up.

After the trial ends, a paid subscription is required to remain publicly listed. If you do not subscribe or your subscription lapses, your profile will no longer be visible to other users and you will not receive new bookings. Existing confirmed bookings are honoured regardless of subscription status.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your listing stays active until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are given for partial months.

Humandos may, at its discretion, offer complimentary accounts to selected users. These accounts are not advertised and may be revoked at any time.

12. Account Termination

Humandos reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to violation of these terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or behaviour that harms other users or the platform.

You may delete your account at any time. Outstanding bookings and payment obligations will still apply.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or email. Continued use of Humandos after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Humandos shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

If you have questions about these terms, contact us at [email protected].
